Huuru processes photos on your iPhone. The app doesn’t send me your pictures, settings or usage data.

Photos and settings on your phone

The archive holds original RAW files, neutral copies, finished JPEGs, photo metadata, edits and custom looks. Huuru also saves preferences such as your language and shooting aids on the phone.

There’s no account, advertising, analytics SDK or tracking identifier in the app. I don’t run a server that stores or processes your photos.

An original file keeps its metadata. If it contains the camera model, time or location of a shot, someone you share the original with can read those details.

iOS protects the archive on the device and includes it in normal device backups. Your Apple settings determine whether those backups are available and how they’re protected. Huuru has no automatic cloud sync of its own.

App permissions

  • Camera. Huuru needs camera access for the viewfinder and shutter. You can import and edit an existing iPhone RAW without this permission.
  • Photos. Huuru asks to add photos if you export a finished JPEG. Automatic export is off by default. To import a RAW, Huuru may also need permission to read the selected original. If you limit access, include that photo in your selection.
  • Files. You choose the file to import or restore, or the location to save a backup.

You can change these permissions in iPhone Settings.

Sharing, iCloud and backups

When you share a file, you choose its destination in the iOS share sheet. Importing from Photos may download the original from iCloud. JPEGs you save to Apple Photos can sync through iCloud Photos. Backups saved in Files can upload to iCloud Drive or another provider, depending on the location and your settings.

A .pimioarchive file includes the photos, originals, metadata, edits and looks in your archive, including photos in Recently Deleted. Huuru checks the files for damage during restore. Huuru doesn’t encrypt or password-protect the backup. Choose a storage location whose access and security settings you trust.

Finish saving the backup in Files before you delete Huuru. Deleting the app removes its local archive, including Recently Deleted. If you used a cloud drive, check the upload there. Huuru can’t verify that step.

Performance reports and support email

The camera keeps a report in memory with recent shot timings, camera settings, memory use and temperature status. It contains no photos, file paths, account IDs or device ID. You can clear it or use Share report to send it to a recipient you choose. Huuru never sends it automatically.

If you email me, I receive your message, return address and any attachments. I use them to answer you and investigate the issue. I keep them only as long as the request or a legal obligation requires. You can email me to ask for a copy of your correspondence or to have it deleted.

Apple manages App Store, TestFlight and iOS diagnostics under its own policies and your Apple settings.
